Since I was in junior high school, I have never changed my hair style. Actually, I am not an immutable person and I don’t want this same style all the time; however, I am afraid of being teased or laughed at by my classmates. Yesterday, I couldn’t tolerate my long hair anymore, so I decided to get haircut after class. Fortunately, I was discussing hair styles with my Peruvian friend named Johan in my listening and speaking class. Furthermore, he told me he was going to a barbershop recommended by one of his friends and wanted to change his hair style looked like soccer player. What he said motivated me, and I asked myself whether or not I should try to change my hair style in Canada. I told him that I desired to get haircut because it’s too long to style. He invited me to go to the barbershop with him, but I told him I was still thinking so I didn’t go with him.
However, I took a bus with another friend to the barbershop and I hovered in front of the shop and discussed with my friend if I should change my hair or not for at least ten minutes. Finally, I made up my mind to make the change. Besides, I chose a picture with a very short hair style and told the barber I want to transform like a Transformer. He just said “No problem!” After fifteen minutes, I was a different man, and I felt comfortable with my hair style. This was my first time to change myself since I left Taiwan. Everything needs to be changed sometimes, such as my old hair style because you will not always know what the consequence and result is. In my experience, doing something new in your own life is not a bad idea.
